Client: Nez Perce Tribe
Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Completion Date: June 20, 2013
McCormack Landscape Architecture recently completed the landscape design for the Phase 1 Expansion of the Nez Perce Tribe's Clearwater River Casino & Lodge. The casino expansion includes additional gaming areas, an event center, meeting rooms and a cultural walk featuring Nez Perce regalia, art and historical photographs. The planting design features shrubs and flowering perennials native to the Nez Perce Homelands that give seasonal color to the resort.

The highlight of the landscape design is the new Event Center Coutryard. When completed, the Event Center Courtyard will feature stone seat walls, a fire pit, a water feature, Nez Perce sculptures, custom entry gates and a raised stage/patio area for outdoor performances. The Grand Opening Ceremony was held on June 20, 2013, and was attended by hundreds of tribal members, community leaders, and local residents from throughout the region.
